Elaine Breilinger

Elaine Brainlinger

I grew up in Ladbroke Grove, London, and during the 50/60's I was a regular at jazz and blues clubs in Soho. I studied at Chelsea School of Art in Kings Road.

I met Louis Armstrong at 17yrs having won a competition in Daily Mail writing about jazz. I then moved on to live in the Middle East, Far East, and Europe for 25 years, exhibiting and painting in oils. More recently, I started sculpting utilising damaged / dis-used jazz instruments, I love their "last gig" vibe, their mystery, and the connection with their past.

If anyone would like to view more of my music sculptures at 55 Brookway, Burgess Hill RH15 0LN please call me to arrange/ 07833307445. Chat art, teas, cafe, relax in garden..would be lovely to see you all.
